- AC1.3-Decriminalisation
- definition: if the public become unconcerned with carrying out a law making it hard to be imposed the law can change which ultimately makes an act no longer illegal
- example: decriminalisng homosexuality and decriminalising abortions, decriminalising gambling etc
- stats: 50% of Londoners say they want to decriminalise cannabis meaning 50% arent reporting the crime so it should be decriminalise to not waste police time and resources
- positive consequence: police arent having to spend their money time and resources on chasing things that people dont deem as a crime instead they can focus on the important crimes
