- Air Quality
- Amounts of gases in the air
- Oxygen:21%
- Nitrogen: 78%
- Carbon Dioxide: 0.037
- Argon: 0.9%
- Water vapor varies due to wheather and climate
- Pollutants
- Greenhouse gases
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the primary greenhouse gas produced by man.
- Methane (CH4) is another gas that is being produced by man. Landfill sites produce a huge quantity of it. Methane has more potential for trapping heat, around 25x more!
- Sulpher dioxide (SO2) causes acid rain, which is where rain has such acidic content that it damages trees and animals severly.
- Greenhouse gases
- Natural pollution
- Volcanoes create a large amount of gases, including CO2 and SO2.
- Animal digestive systems produce small quantitys of methane. This includes cows.
