- Autism is a condition that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them.
- Autism is not a single disorder, but a spectrum of closely-related disorders with a shared core of symptoms.

- Difficulty in adjusting to new environments; e.g. noisy, no quiet spaces, busy etc
