- Can give an individual a smokers cough or other respiratory problems
- Increases the risk of getting cancers- especially lung, throat and mouth
- Breath and clothes smell- off putting for others
- Restrictions in social situations- limit the places you can go
- Very expensive- less money to socialise
- Feel like cigarettes are in control of them
- Lowers self-esteem as individuals know it is very bad for them.
