  • Dorian's Character Evolution (Chapter 12)
    • Dorian has begun to seduce and debase young men, tainting their reputation in the process (Chapter 12)

    • Dorian's previous casual dislike of Basil is slowly escalating to hatred. (Chapter 12)

    • Dorian very quickly shrugged off Sybil's death  after Lord Henry convinced him to (caring less and less for others) (Chapter 8)
      • 'A cry of pain broke from the lad's lips.."Dead! Sybil dead! It is not true! It is a horrible lie! How dare you say it?" '
        • 'He would not think any more of what she had made him go through, on that horrible night at the theatre'
    • Dorian is becoming far more selfish, unable to view things from other's point of view such as for Sybil the night of her terrible acting (Chapter 7)
      • ' "Yes" he cried, "you have killed my love. You used to stir my imagination. Now you don't even stir my curiosity" '
      • "I can't see you again. You have disappointed me"
      • "Don't touch me!" he cried.
    • As a result of Lord Henry's influence, Dorian has become very paranoid about growing old (Chapter 2)
      • 'There would be a day the his face would be wrinkled and wizened...as he thought of it, a sharp pang of pain struck through him"
      • "How sad it is! I shall grow old, and horrible, and dreadful. But this picture will remain always young"
      • "When I find that I am growing old, I shall kill myself"
