- Data Security
- Networks
- Local Area Network (LAN)
- A LAN covers a small area such as one site or building, eg. a school/college
- Wide Area Network (WAN)
- A WAN covers a large geographical area. Most WANs are made from several LANs connected together.
- ~The internet is a WAN ~a network of a bank cash dispensers is a WAN ~A school network is usually a LAN ~LANs are usually connected to WANs, for example a school network could be connected to the internet

- Hardware
- Concept keyboard~ the buttons can be labelled with text or an image. Fast food restaurants often use these as little training is needed to operate them and they're efficient~ a single button can order a meal
- Trackball~ An alternative to a mouse. User rotates the ball which moves the pointer on screen. They are easy to use for people with limited movement in their arms/hands. These are used in computer aided design for increased prevision over a mouse
- Scanner~ This is used to digitize images. This is similar to a photocopier but they make digital copies instead of physical. They can be used with optical character recognition (OCR) software to scan text that is then editable
