Language devices
- Triplets
  - Can be used to emphasise or draw attention to detail
- Hyperbole
  - Use of exaggeration to create impact
    - Can be persuasive
- Assonance
  - Repetition of vowel sounds for the same effect as alliteration
- Humour
  - Lightens the mood, establishes a closer connection with the audience and adds variety to maintain interest
- Tone
  - Tone is adapted by the writer and can generate feelings, e.g by using emotional words.
  - Causes reader to feel emotions
- Alliteration
  - Makes a point, phrase or idea more memorable
    - Significance of the words used
- Assertive language
  - Using a forceful or confident language makes the writers point seem indisputable
  - Makes an opinion sound like a widespread belief
- Rhetorical questions
  - Questions that simply emphasise a point
  - Helps make a point in a more powerful and emotional way
