- Done by checking for malarial parasite with a drop of blood spread out as blood smear

- Parasite nucleic acids are detected using Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)

- Avoid mosquito bites by using mosquito repellents, covering arms and legs, using mosquito nets
- Consumption of Anti-Malarial Tablets

- Can be cured with prescription of drugs. type of drugs depends upon the intensity of the type of malaria
