- NECESSITY TEST
- To find out and be certain of a person's name or address.
- To prevent the person:
- Causing physical injury to themselves and others.
- Causing damage to property.
- Committing public indecency.(e.g. Nudity)
- Causing unlawful obstruction of the highway.
- To protect a child or other vulnerable person.
- To allow the prompt and effective investigation of the person.
- So the person does not run away in order to hinder the prosecution.
