- Trills are a lot of quick notes, in baroque music a trill starts one note above the written note, in classical music it starts on the note
- Appoggiaturas are extra notes in a chord, it starts on a clashing note and ends on one that belongs to the chord, it only takes up half the time value of the note
- Acciaccaturas are crushed notes, they are played as fast as possible before the main note
- Mordents are like trills only they end on the written note, a mordent goes up a note, a lower mordent goes down a note
- Turns start on the note above then play the written note and then the note below, turns can be inverted
