- Progressive Overload
- Gradually increasing the amount of overload to gain fitness without the risk of injury.
- Specificity
- Matching training to the requirements of a specific sport or activity.
- Rest
- The period of time allocated to recover.
- Recovery
- The time required to repair damage to the body caused by training or competition.
- Reversibility
- An adaption that takes place as a consequence of training will be reversed when you stop training.
