- Representing images on a computer
- Images are stored as a series of Pixels which are little dots in images and each pixel has a code.
- In a 1-bit image there are only two colours. 0 for white and 1 for black.
- Total numbers of colours = 2 to the power of x(which is the number of bits).
- Increasing colour depth and resolution increases file size.
