        • The parable of the talents teaches that wealth is a gift from God which needs to be used wisely as God will judge how wealth is used

          • The catholic church has strongly spoken out against unequal wealth. Poor people are deprived of their dignity by those who are greedy for wealth
          • Christians are not expected to make themselves poor, but should share what they are able to afford with the needy
          • Pope Francis taught that life of all people is more important than the gaining of private wealth by a few people.

          • Many christians believe that they are stewards of Gods wealth. It is a gift of god so should be used responsibly

        • The catholic teaches tat wealth creation is essential for peoples survival and prosperity, but should not be done at the expense of depriving people of their rights
        • The church is against exploitation-  when people misuse power or money to get others to do things for little or unfair reward

          • Wealth should not be at the expense of the poor. The prophet Amos forcefully condemned the exploitation  of the poor

        • Bakhita Foundation was set up in memory of a girl who escaped from traffickers and became a nun and a saint, it gives support to those who are caught up in human trafficking

        • Jesus warned against greed as is destroys a persons relationship with God and goes against teaching
        • Some people  don't believe that greed is all bad and they think it improves the econmy
        • Materlism  distorts a persons sense of value , gives people a false sense of purpose and takes control of life.
