Effects

Hitler aimed to overturn the treaty of Versailles so that included reuniting Germans-speaking people(Volksdeutsche) and aquiring Lebensraum - Hitler would have to invade countries which could start a war
Hitler hated communism so if he wanted to stop it he must invade Russia- this would start a war
In his book Hitler said that the only way to make Germany strong again was to gain Lebensraum

Overall summary

Hitler was fairly influential in starting the war because through his foreign policy's war was inevitable to gain what he wanted. Hitler also wanted to make Germany strong again and overturning the Treaty would raise issues and possibly war.
