EvaluationI therefore would argue that the state solution to environmental problems is the lesser of two evils. Although it is largely slow on the uptake - state solutions with appropriate mechanisms to monitor at local levels (perhaps with some private/lower level help) are the best in order to ensure that everyone follows similar rules and that the world is on the same page when it comes to dealing with environmental problems, as it is easier for the limited number of states to collaborate rather than the increasing number of private organisations. These organisations aren't regulated by any kind of ethical (?) committee, so it'd be difficult to track and control their interests when it comes to the environment. |
