- UK has fusion of executive with the House of Commons
- UK has more than 2 parties in legislature
- UK more socially representative
- House of Commons term is 4 years, House of Reps is 2 years
- House of Lords term is lifelong, Senate is 6 years
- House of Lords is the only unelected body
- UK has more party discipline due to use of whips, whilst US more delegate representation due to shorter terms and broad church parties
