A2, Unit 4C - Congress

The structure of Congress, the powers of Congress, important roles within Congress, Congressional Committees, the Legislative Process, voting in Congress, oversight by Congress and the overall effectiveness of Congress. 

I'm using this particulary for Unit 4C but it may be helpful for A2 as a whole!

A detailed survey of the way the US Congress operates, some students will find this useful for step-by-step revision. However, students will need to display greater case-study knowledge of some of the issues that give Americans cause to criticise Congress, e.g the budget 2011-13 and the various occurrences of 'gridlock'. It is also important to note that the ways in which the two houses represent their constituents is different, accounting for the different numbers of congressmen and senators, and that a super majority is two thirds, not three.
