Hypothermia occurs when your body is exposed to low temperatures for a long period of time. Your body cant replace heat as fast as its being lost and, if unteated, this can lead to death.
The common cause of hypothermia- when your core body temperature falls below 35'C.
Symptoms of hypothermia are-
grey skin colour
amnesia (memory loss)
shivering
slurred speech
confusion
loss of coordination
cold skin
You can treat hypothermia by-
raising the core body temperature
insulating the body (particularly the armpits, head and groin)
drinking warm drinks (but not alcahol)
