People have the right to express their views and beliefs, including the right to refuse care or treatment. These laws are under the equality act. 2 of 3 Maintaining Confidentiality Respect for service uses, helping promote trust, and helps them to feel valued and helps them maintain their self esteem. It is also important to let the service users know in what situations practisioners are obliged to share information. Maintaining confidentiality does not mean information about service users should never be shared. 3 of 3
