Chlorplasts are where photosynthis happens, and this is where the colour of the plant if found.
Cholorplasts consist of the chloroplast envelope which is a double membrane that surounds all the organelles. inside the cell in the Storma (cytoplasm) there are lot of different granules, such as lipids, enzymes and starch as well as ribosmoes and DNA. The main body of the chloroplasts are grana which are stacks of disk like Thylakoids. This is where the first stage of photosynthis happens.
The cholorplast works by the granal membranes providing a large surface are to attach chlorophyll. Electrons carriers and enzymes attach these chemicals in a very ordily fashion to the grana. All the elerments are there and present in the structure of the cell so photosynthese can happen quickly.
