  • Style of Work called Expressionism which concerned with raw emotion, everydat life and confronting disaster of WW1

Architecture- Cultural Changes

  • New designers and architects challenged traditional ideas and practices in building and interiors 
  •  In 1919, Bauhaus School set up in Weimar by architect Walter Gropius
  • Gropius wanted to bring disciplines (art,architecture,design,typography,sculpture etc) together 
  • School attracted many talented artists & designers 
  • ideas challenged traditional styles popular before WW1 
  • Radical approches from before
