The theory of personality-

Id- The 'id' is the like the devil side of the personality. It is immoral and selfish, only ever doing things that benefit themself.

Superego- The 'superego' is like the angel side of the personality. Everything is done through morals and they think of others before themselves.

Ego- The 'ego' is the bit inbetween the angel and the devil. It is like a 'balancer' that helps the person weigh out a good balance between what is right and wrong.

Think of the epiosde of 'The Simpsons' when Homer has the angel and devil on his shoulder to help his consious decide what to do.
