MENTAL ILLNESS/PARANOIA- "THOU CANST NOT SAY I DID IT. NEVER SHAKE THY GORY LOCKS AT ME!" (When Macbeth sees Duncan - a good example of Macbeth's paranoia)
AMBITION/TYRANNY- "VAULTING AMBITION WHICH OERLEAPS ITSELF AND FALLS ON TH’OTHER" (Ambition spurs men on to rush ahead toward disaster)
"I CANNOT SPURR MYSELF" (To kill Duncan)
IF CHANCE WILL HAVE ME KING, WHY, CHANCE MAY CROWN ME" (Macbeth becomes over ambitious and believes his life as king is "fate")
"HEAR IT NOT DUNCAN, FOR IT IS A KNELL, THAT SUMMONS THEE TO HEAVEN OR HELL"
FEAR -"WHATS THE MAN NOT BORN OF WOMAN? SUCH A ONE AM I TO FEAR, OR NONE" (Macbeth is only scared of someone not born of woman - he believes such a person doesn't exist)
SUPERNATURAL -"THEN LIVE MACDUFF. I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR THEE" (He believes the witches' prophecy without question)
