You can use the Trigonometry ratios to find the size of an angle in a right-angled triangle. You only need to know the lengths of two sides of the triangle.
Trigonometric Ratios:
sin- opp/hyp = SOH
cos- adj/hyp = CAH
tan- opp/adj = TOA
Remember the steps you need to do to answer a question are:
- Write out the SOHCAHTOA sequence
- Write out the ratios
- Draw out the right-angled triangle
- Label the sides of the triangle
- Decide what ratio to use
- Find the ratio and transfer the information to the equation
- Work out the equation with the ratio -1
- Round the answer
