The Bosnian Crisis happened in 1908-1909.
Austria-Hungary annexed Bosnia, which made Serbia furious as Serbia wanted to make Bosnia part of a greater Serbian state.
Serbia called on the help of Russia, who called an International conference which Austria-Hungary refused to attend. Germany backed Austria-Hungary's decision.
Germany demanded that Russia accepted the annexation, and Russia had no choice to back down as her army was too small in compariosn to Germany's forces.
Effects --
- Serbia wanted revenge
- Russia was humiliated and would not back down again in the future
- Grermany supported the Austro-Hungarian policy in the Balkans
- Russia moved closer to France and Britain
