The skeleton has many different functions:
Support and shape-Without the skeleton we'd collapse like jelly. The skeleton supports the soft tissue like skin and muscle
Protection- The skeleton protects delicate vital organs, like the heart, lungs and brain
Movement- Joints- Places where two or more bones meet. muscles attached by tendons can move various bones
Making blood cells- Long bones conatin bone marrow, new red blood cells are made in this bone marrow. Red blood cells are used to carry oxgyen , haemoglobin around the body where its used to release energy
Mineral storage- Bones store important minerals like calcium
