GLOBAL POPULATION

BIRTH RATE - the number of live births per 1000 in a given year

DEATH RATE - the number of deaths per 1000 in agiven year

INFANT MORATLITY RATE- the number of babies who died under 1 per 100 births per year

NATURAL INCREASE - when birth rate exceeds death rate

NATURAL DECREASE - when death rate exceeds birth rate

Global population increased slowly until mid 1900s when it started to grow exponentially due to declining death rates.

PULL FACTORS - the positives which attract someone to their host country.
