Pressure Groups questions

Pressure group- An organized group that tries to influence the government to adopt certain policies or measures.

Promotional and sectional pressure groups-

• Promotional- Promotes a specisific cause example- Fathers4Justice Sectional- To protect the intrests of their memebers examples- any trade union- BMA

Insider and outsider groups

Insider- have close and regular contact with the government shelter                      Outsider- Has practically no contact with the government due to ideological differences. Fathers4Justice 

Pluralism- A condition in which numerous distinct ethnic, religious, or cultural groups are present and tolerated within a society.

The belief that such a condition is desirable or socially beneficial. Elitism- The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment, and should run the government
