1962 - Norman Morrice travelled to America to see new developments of dance
1962 - Norman Morrice discovered Martha Graham and her unique technique
1962 - Norman Morrice returned to England and encouraged Marie Rambert to let dancers choreograph their own works
1962 - the company changed from a large touring company to 16-20 dancers
1966 - Morrice became Artistic director
1966 - the dancers were now trained in both classical ballet and contemporary (Graham technique)
