RUSSIAN REVOLUTION

Lenin: He was the leader of the 'Reds' (Bolsheviks) and he took on power after the October Revolution. His leadership ended in January 1924. He was a communist who believed in equal pay and rights for everyone

Alexander Kerensky: After the February revolution, Kernesky became Minister of Justice, then Minister of War, and finally Prime Minister. After the October revolution he was exiled to New York, where he died at 89.

George V: He was the cousin of Tsar Nicolas II. He offered political asylum to Tsar and his family, however he feared Nicolas would lead revolutionaries to England

Yakov Yurovsky:The assasinator of the family Romanovs. He was the super intendant of the Ipatyev house (where the Romanovs were being kept until their death). After the war, Yurovsky died in 1939 of an ulcer

Sergei Witte:A highly influential policy maker who served under Alexander III and Nicolas II. He was Minister or Finance for eleven years. His negotiating skills were excellent and he was a huge asset in the Russian politics

Peter Stolypin:Served as Prime Minister and leader of the 3rd Duma (1906-1911)

Gleb Botkin:Son of Dr Eugene Botkin, he became an advocate of Anna Anderson, and believed her story, that she was childhood companion Anastasia Romanov

Father Gapon:Leader of the factory workers on Bloody Sunday (22nd January 1905). He made the workers see the real state they were in
