sampling

Random samples - samples chosen at random

systemic sampling - samples chosen regular intervals - useful in places where you want to investigate changes frequently

Stratified sampling - choose samples from different groups to get good overall representation. - Mainly useful to collect people percerption or people data.

why do we sample - We cannot collect data from every part of the river or measure every pebble so we have to take a sample.
