Wool

Natural - Protein

  • Warm to wear
  • Can absorb up to 1/3 of its weight in water without feeling wet
  • Slow drying
  • Fine wool is comfortable
  • Coarse wool can be scratchy
  • Medium strength
  • Good elasticity
  • Creases drop out
  • May shrink. Wash and iron with care.

  • Wash and iron with care, best dry cleaned.

  • Highly absorbent
  • Slow drying
  • Very comfortable, unless wet
  • Soft handle

  • Creases easily

  • Stiffer and harder than cotton
  • Firm handle
  • Smooth drape
  • Good strength and durability

  • Low warmth
  • More absorbent than cotton
  • Comfortable to wear
  • Good drape
  • Lower strength than cotton
