Short Money 

State funds paid to opposition parties in the House of Commons to pay for administrative costs and to enable effective scrutiny of the government.

Cranbourne Money 

State funds to opposition parties in the House of Lords to pay for administrative costs and to enable effective scrutiny of the government. 

Policy Development Grants (PDGs)

Any party with two or more sitting MPs is allocated a share of a £2 million annual fund to help develop policies. 

Funding for election campaigns 

State subsidies are given to parties during election campaigns to help with costs.
