in 1925 italy was made into a dictatorship by mussolini who dreamed of making italy a great empire again

in october 1935 he sent troops with heavy forces into abyssinia

the lon imposed economic sanctions but delayed banning oil exports in case the usa didnt support them

supplies got through despite sanctions and by may 1936 italy had conquered all of abyssinia

lon reputation was ruined and mussolini was making pacts with hitler
