Briefly describe the events that happen in book 22 of the Odyssey (10)
Odysseus throws off his rags and shoots a second arrow through the throat of Antinous. The suitors are confused and believe that the shooting must be an accident. Odysseus however then reveals himself and rebukes them for the things they have done. This creates the suitors to become terrified. There is no way out because Philoetius has locked the front door and Eumaeus has locked the doors to the women’s quarters. Eurymachus tries to get Odysseus to give them mercy, as he calms down the king. He offers that they will supply everything they have used up and states that Odysseus has every reason to be angry. As Odysseus continues to rebuke him and states he will spare not one of them, the suitors continue to be scared. Eurymachus then attempts to draw a sword at Odysseus but he is struck…
