Main concerns of the UK Democracy:
1) Low Turnout at General Elections
Causes under-representation and results which do not reflect the majority of society
Example: Referendum on North East Assembly in 2004 - Turnout of 47% and General Election 2010 - 65% turnout
2) Parliament is not well represented
Can cause conflict between government organisations
Example: Up until 20 years ago, on 5% of MP's were women in the Commons, but it has now risen to 20%
3) FPTP Voting system is Un-proportional (Mis-represented)
