9 Miles of pylons, 600m above sea level, could reduce CO2 levels by 1450,000 tonnes and reduce emissions by 60% by 2050. located 2 miles from the nearest property Cefn Croes is located on a moorland plateau called Plynlimon in Cambrian Mountains - Wales, In july 2000 the renewable development company submitted a planning proposal to build the UK's most powerful windfarm at 58.5 megwatts capacity which would involved 39 100m high turbines. it would be enough to supply 40,000 homes.
ADVANTAGES TO A PLANNING PROCESS - Different groups can say their opinions, appeals are allowed, slows down the rate of development, problems highlighted and amentments made
DISADVANTAGES - long process would take a long time, may not aways be successful decision makers can have vested interests.
