Defining Belief Systems & Ideology
Belief Systems:
This is generally defined as: "A framework of ideas that provides an individual with a view to the world, it allows the individual to make sense of the world"
Ideology:
Ideology is simply a set of beliefs and principles
However, one must not be confused. ideology and belief systems are NOT the same thing.
There are two important distinctions between the two terms:
Many of us have beliefs that influence our daily lives, and religion can be an important influence.

Thus, the term belief systems is an umberella term for any organised set of ideas and principles.
