Factors effecting temperature
- latitude
- distance from sea
- prevailing winds
- relief features
Prevailing wind comes from the direction at which the wind usally comes from.
Latitude- places near the equator are warmer due to the curvature of the earth and the angle of the sun.
On the equator the sun is overhead and there is a smaller surface area to heat up.
On the poles there is a larger surface area to heat up; therefore it's cooler.
Distance from the sea.
summer- inland is warmer than the coast
winter- coast is warmer than the land
