Gonorrhoea

What is it?

• A disease involving inflammatory discharge from the vagina or urethra

Causes

• Caused by bacteria through sexual contact.
• Can be spread by a mother giving birth 
• Very similar to chlamydia

Symptoms 

• Women - 
• No symptoms 
• Mistaken for bladder or vaginal infections
• Painful, burning sensation when urinating
• Vaginal discharge or bleeding
• Men - 
• No symptoms
• Burning sensation when urinating
• White, yellow or green discharge from penis
• Painful or swollen testicles

Physical Impacts 

• Gonorrhoea can cause infertility if left too long
