How the early year care values are applied

The 10 early year care values (used when working with children)

1. Fostering equality of opportunity- Each child must be provided with the opportunity to work towards their potential. 

2. Working in partnership with other professionals- To share and learn ideas that can be implemented into tasks.

3. Making the welfare of the child paramount- Positive expectations should be encouraged. A child should never be smacked or humiliated.

4. Maintaining confientiality of information- Information must not be shared with others, except on a need to know basis.

5. Ensuring anti-discrimination- Not discriminating against any of the proctected characteristics (race, gender) or because of their social background.
