One way that immigrants faced intolerance during the 1920's was due to trade unions.For eaxmple this was a big scare during America because Americans feared that by letting immigrants into the country they would work for lower wages which would then decrease the amount of jobs available. Therefore as a consequence this meant that Americans opposed immigration because they were loosing the amount of jobs because poorer immigrants were prepared to accept a lower income.
