Stanford-binet: Children scored on a scale to give them a mental age. It was orginally devised to see who needed extra help.It then went to stanford and was developed futher. The current version has four componets: verbal reasoning, anbstract or visual reasoning, quantitative reasoning nad short term memory.
Weschler: Developed a new test as he thought that the standford-binet test relied to much on language and did not account for adults.
British Ability scales: Three brief assesmentsof number, spellin and reading abilities. The main categories core scales and diagnostic scales. The core scales consist of: verbal ability, non verbal ability, reasoning ability and spatial ability. There are two scores for each ability which are then added to generate a general ability.
