LOTF Essay checklist

As GCSEs go, it's going to always be about ticking boxes. I have been given an example of an A* levelled essay on Simon and this is the check-list of points that I was advised to include:

• Character Analysis - How Simon is presented by Golding. Descriptions, importance.
• Cross reference to other books - Bible
• Purpose of Character - Why did Golding put Simon in the story? What is his role?
