ACT 2 SCENE SUMMARIES
ACT II SCENCE I
Banquo suspects something is wrong then he encounters Macbeth
Banquo gives Macbeth a gift for Lady Macbeth from the King
Banquo tells Macbeth that he has dreamt about the witches, but Macbeth says he doesn’t think of them
Macbeth is left alone when he imagine a dagger in front of him, a dagger leading him to kill Duncan
He decides to go ahead with the murder
ACT II SCENCE II
Lady Macbeth waits for Macbeth to return from carrying out the murder. She boats about how she drugged the guards.
Macbeth enters carrying two blood stained daggers
Macbeth’s guilt for doing the murder torments him so Lady Macbeth try to lessen theses fears
She then criticise Macbeth for not erasing the evidence of them doing the murder by bringing the daggers back
ACT II SCENCE III
Knocking from the previous scene continues and the porter opens the gate. He imagine he is the porter from hell and lets Macduff and Lennox enter
Macbeth arrives to greet…
