The nature and Variety of Living Organisms
Living organisms fall into the following categories.
Animals:
- multicellular organisms
- store cabohydrates as glycogen
- NO cell walls, chloroplast (do NOT photosynthesize)
- have nervous coordination (mostly)
- able to move
Plants:
- All plants are multicellular
- Contain chloroplasts and carry out photosynthesis
- Have cellulose cell walls
- store carbohydrates as starch or sucrose
Fungi:
- some are unicellular
- organised into mycelium- made from hyphae.
