- Topology: arrangement of objects that are related
- LAN: local area network
- WAN: wide area network
- PAN: personal area network
- MAN: metropolitan area network

IP address = a unique string of numbers seperated by full stops that identifies each computer using the Internet protocol to communicate over a network.
