Pisces- Class Chordata and Subphylum Vertebrata.
The Agnatha (Jawless) classes are;
Class Myxini (Hagfish)
- 70 species
- Marine fish
- Feed on annelids, crustaceans, dead fish and molluscs
- Feed by tearing flesh away
- They produce slime as a defense when being attacked
- Can knot their tail for my leverage (can do this as have no bony skelton)
Class Petromyzontida (lamprey)
- 41 species
- Parasitic or predatory
- Can **** onto rocks or prey (**** out bodily fluids)
- They use their tongues to feed- attach to by fish by buccal funnel7
Gnathostomata (have jaw) classes are;
Class chondrichthyes (cartilaginous)
- 850 species
- Predators
- Well developed sense organs
