Poetic Features
Anaphora- Same phrase at the beginning of each line
Conceit- Essentially an extended metaphor- runs through the entire poem e.g. The Flea (John Donne) where the flea is a conceit for physical relations
Poetic Apostrophe- When the speaker talks to a person or object who is absent from the poem- often employed in admiration or longing
