River Valency flood protection scheme

Hard engineering:

The channel was made deeper and wider so the river can hold more water so no water leaves the river.

Spillways were created to divert excess water away from Boscastle.

Flood defence walls were built to prevent flood water from reaching Boscastle and this would stop property from being damaged or destroyed.
